Keep Them Safe Support Line for NGOs

reporter2.jpg

The NSW Government has established a six-month transitional Keep Them Safe (KTS) Support Line to assist mandatory reporters in non-government organisations.

The KTS Support line operates from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

The phone number is 1800 772 479.

Mandatory reporters in non-government organisations, including non-government schools and General Practitioners, can call the KTS Support Line for assistance in using the new Mandatory Reporter Guide to determine whether a matter meets the threshold for suspected risk of significant harm and in understanding the changes under Keep Them Safe.

The KTS Support Line will also assist NGO mandatory reporters to decide what to do to help a child or young person where there are concerns, but do not meet the significant harm threshold.

What to expect when you call the KTS support Line

The trained Support Line Officer will provide information relevant to your query e.g how to use the Mandatory Reporter Guide, an explanation of information exchange provisions, how to access HSNET, the Human Services Network Link Directory and details for referral services.
