New email service to keep you informed of the latest news

boys.jpgWelcome to the new Keep Them Safe Update service brought to you by the NSW Department of Community Services.

These emails will be used to provide you with information and primary documents relating to Keep Them Safe as soon as they come to hand.

The documents will also be made available on the DoCS website, but this service provides you with a copy direct to your inbox.

What is risk of significant harm?

After extensive consultation involving around 200 government and non-government representatives, agreement has been reached on a policy definition for the new statutory reporting threshold "risk of significant harm".

This policy definition is a crucial pre-requisite for key components of the reform agenda, and a consistent understanding of the definition right across the sector is required if we are to achieve the objectives of Keep Them Safe.
