new Keep Them Safe websiteThe new Keep Them Safe website, developed and maintained by the Department of Premier and Cabinet is now operational.

The website provides information on the key changes in child protection and useful links to more specialised information including a link to the e-newsletter.

Family Referral Services Pilots (formerly known as RIRS)

familyNSW Health will shortly release a Request for Tender for the Pilots of Family Referral Services, formerly known as Regional Intake and Referral Services (RIRS).

Family Referrral Services are help hubs, able to put families in touch with services in local areas. They will be run by non-government organisations with NSW Health overseeing the project.

The pilots are a key commitment of the NSW Government under the Keep Them Safe action plan.

The Request for Tender will be released on the Government's e-tender website this week. The RFT reference number for the Document is DOH 09/20.

A closing date for responses will be Tuesday 20 October 2009 (10:00am Sydney time).

There will be a mandatory industry briefing on the morning of 21 September 2009 on the Sydney CBD. Details of the briefing are included in the Request for Tender.
